Determined fight from unions needed to stop government onslaught

The Budget will, if the Government gets its way, mark the first of four where working people, the unemployed and those who depend on public services will be crucified over an economic crash they did not cause. The palpable anger this is causing in society generally can be seen in the threat by the Garda Representative Association to ballot for industrial action.

EU’s refusal to “name” Israel in Mossad killing is outrageous

The assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai is just one more murder in a succession of extra-judicial executions perpetrated by the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad. These tactics, as well as so-called “extraordinary renditions” have been used time and time again in the brutal repression of the Palestinian people and against those that are perceived to be a threat to Israel, such as nuclear whistle blower, Mordechai Vanunu.
