Joe Higgins is standing for the Dublin Constituency in the Euro Elections to be held on Friday, June 5th.
Joe Higgins is well known as a renowned fighter for the rights of working people for the last thirty years.
As a member of Dail Eireann for ten years from 1997 to 2007, Joe Higgins became known as ‘the real opposition.’ His was the strongest voice of opposition to the speculation and profiteering in property and housing that saw a generation of workers shackled to punishing, 40 year mortgages – all of which has now crashed the economy with devastating consequences for working people, students and youth.
Joe vehemently flayed the speculators but also the Fianna Fail and PD parties who were in their pockets and legislated for their greed at every opportunity.
By voting for Joe Higgins, ordinary people throughout Dublin could not make a stronger electoral protest against the Fianna Fail dominated government which is savagely attacking their living standards while their speculator friends walk away with billions.
